A working pass through one book
1. Record the work
Add the title, creator, category and status. The category decides which analysis pages the notebook offers you next.
2. Read against a queue
Keep what comes next in the Reading Queue and log sessions as you go, so a long book still shows progress.
3. Save passages with context
Each highlight keeps its location, its category and the note explaining why you saved it — the part that makes a quotation usable later.
4. Answer the core pages
Core analysis pages are worth finishing; optional pages can be marked not applicable instead of padded.
5. Compare and connect
Set two or more works side by side under shared headings, and track the concepts that recur across your library.
6. Archive or export
Archive a finished work without losing a note, and export the notebook as Markdown or plain text whenever you need it elsewhere.
