Copyright & Quotation Policy

Your notebook is private

Nothing you record is published by us or made visible to other users. Quotations you save for your own study and criticism sit in a private workspace, which is materially different from republishing them.

Quoting responsibly

• Save the passage you actually need for a point you are making, not the surrounding chapter.
• Always record the source and location, so the quotation stays attributable.
• Keep your own commentary attached — that is what makes it analysis rather than copying.
• Before publishing anything that quotes a copyrighted work, check the rules that apply to you. Nothing here is legal advice.

What must not be stored here

• Full-text copies of books, monographs, theses or articles you do not own or licence.
• Pirated ebook or PDF files, however obtained.
• Scans or transcriptions substantial enough to substitute for the original work.
• Paywalled material redistributed outside the terms you accepted with its publisher.

Uploading such material breaches the Acceptable Use Policy.

Your own writing

You retain every right in the work you create here. We claim no ownership, take no publishing interest, and do not use your drafts to train machine-learning models. See the Terms of Service.

Notices from rights holders

If you believe material stored in an account infringes your copyright, send us a notice through the help page or at share@perspectivesplus.org including:

• identification of the work you say has been infringed;
• enough detail to let us locate the material;
• your contact details;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised;
• a statement that your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

We review notices promptly, remove or disable infringing material where the notice is valid, and notify the account holder so they can respond with a counter-notice. Repeat infringement leads to account closure. Because accounts are private, we act on notices rather than by scanning content.
